Bo is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from Athens, Georgia. Bo played football for two years at The University of Georgia where he discovered his passion for training and exercise. While at UGA, Bo earned his bachelor and master degrees in Exercise Science. He has worked in clinical, commercial, and private settings for the last decade helping a multitude of different clients achieve their goals of living healthier happier lives.
Mike brings a wide variety of training experience to The Training Room. His career began as a sports performance coach at the collegiate level where he worked with athletes at Ball State, Stanford, University of Virginia, and UGA, where he also received his Master’s degree in Exercise Science.
After that, he worked in several private facilities with clientele ranging from high school athletes to grandparents looking to keep up with their grandkids and everything in-between. He also worked with the 2014-15 Atlanta Hawks as a strength and conditioning coach, where he helped to implement strength training, conditioning, rehabilitation, and nutritional strategies to one of the top teams in the league.
Mike believes that every training modality has a time and place and always keeps his client’s goals in mind. He knows there are several ways to accomplish any task and enjoys the challenge of finding the right path for each individual he works with.
Jermaine was born and raised in Georgia. He developed his love for athletics and fitness at a young age. With over 15+ years of being a dual athlete, he’s no stranger to hard work. Jermaine graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Exercise Science from Jacksonville State University. Leaving his mark at JSU as a 3 time All-American football player. Jermaine enjoys traveling, listening to music, and spending time with family & friends.
Discovering his passion in fitness and wellness. He believes that a strength & conditioning based program, with a proper diet is the foundation of a lean mean fighting machine! With Robert Jacobs as his Mentor and Coach, he has learned many different methods and techniques of strength training and program design. Jermaine strives to be a blessing to others by motivating and pushing individuals to achieve their goals.
Vaibhav Maurya, M.D.
Dr. Maurya received his undergraduate degree in biology at Georgia Tech, then went on to complete his medical training at the Medical College of Georgia.
By implementing a comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as an understanding of disease processes, V helps his clients reach their full physical potential safely and effectively. He has a level academic credibility and scientific rigor that is rare among personal trainers.
Dr. Maurya is certified through the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers and the American Council of Exercise.
Kelly is an U.S. Army veteran and degreed in Exercise Science from Georgia State University, 2001. Along with his degree, he is certified with NASM, CPT and CES (corrective exercise specialist). He has also completed a 200hr yoga teacher training, taught at the National Personal Training Institute, wrote for the AJC, and even had a radio show called the Fitness Mythbuster. With over 20 years experience, Kelly has plenty of tools in his arsenal to help you reach your goals.
Maria is a NASM CPT, with CES (Corrective Exercise Specialization), a Power Pilates 600 hr Full Comprehensive Certified Instructor, a Professional Ballroom and Latin dancer for over 15 years, teaches Stand Up Paddle board, and she is Stretch Therapy Certified and Red Cord Trained. Her specialties include corrective exercise, spine and alignment health, stability training, and post op rehab from surgery or injury recovery.
Elle is a passionate and motivated Holistic Fitness Coach, Author & Speaker. She specializes in Strength Training and Nutrition. She herself has went through her own transformation journey losing over 30 pounds. Since it has been her mission to inspire and create a positive impact on all those she encounters. She believes that it all begins with a desire and commitment to decide to change. Once you do, then you must become fully invested to transform into your best self. First we must shift our mindset and focus, accompanied with proper nutrition and a solid exercise routine.
Bryant is a U.S. Air Force veteran with over 18 years of experience in the healthcare field. He began training himself 9 years ago when he decided to add muscle to his skinny frame. He coaches cardio HIIT classes, boxing classes and one-on-one sessions as well. His high energy, fun style of coaching gives each client motivation to squeeze out an extra rep or two. His goal is to spread the gift of fitness to as many people as possible. If you have a fitness goal, he will make sure you have fun along the way.
Mike has been a fitness professional since 1996. His long career includes training thousands of Atlantans, owning one of the city’s longest running fitness boot camps, and starting the fourth CrossFit affiliate in the city. Mike is now super excited to be leading classes and coaching clients at TTR!
An amateur athlete for most of his life, it was as a collegiate rower in Ithaca, New York that Mike really fell in love with fitness. Athletics never came easy for him, always having to work a little harder and practice a little longer. Not being a “natural" athlete has helped him to connect and work well with clients of all fitness levels.
Collen is definitely a fan favorite at the Training Room. She hails from Philadelphia, PA. Don't let her big smile fool you, she will push her harder than you ever imagined possible!
Outside of the gym, you can find her spending time outside her with her friends, running on the beltline and reading a good book.
KK has always been passionate about strength training, but her desire to train others started taking shape while she was a three sport athlete at Springfield College. KK loves variety in teaching and training whether that’s circuit style training to personal training or TRX. She holds personal and group training certifications from the American Council on Exercise, a functional training certification through TRX, and a fitness nutrition certification.
Outside of the gym, KK works in marketing for the Atlanta Hawks and makes highlights for NBATV. She loves outdoor activities like hiking and climbing, traveling to new places, and you might catch her on a basketball court crossing up fools from time to time.
Amy is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist, and an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor.
Amy strives for improvement, not perfection, and applies the same concept towards her style of instruction. She sets goals for herself and others that are achievable through hard work and dedication. Amy will push you physically, while also challenging you to keep a positive mindset and motivate you to sweat with a smile. If you come to her class expect positivity, accountability, and the push you need to get you closer to your goals.
Amanda is a former Division 1 swimmer at Georgia Southern. She has 8 years of fitness experience and 4 years of coaching experience. Among the wide variety of talents she brings to The Training Room are a warm personality, phenomenal coaching prowess, and an ear for the hottest workout playlist around. These all come together in her LEAN class where you can expect a dynamic, fun and welcoming atmosphere. So if you want to sweat your butt off, have a blast, and listen to fresh motivational workout tracks, Amanda’s got your back!
Caleb is a certified personal trainer through the International Sports Science Association. He attended the University of Indianapolis where he played collegiate baseball. Caleb strives to bring together all aspects of health, be it physical, mental, and social. He designs individualized programs that are both challenging and engaging to get the best results possible. Having worked in the corporate world before coming back to health and fitness Caleb is uniquely positioned to help those with busy, stressful daily lives overcome the barriers they face to help them achieve the best version of themselves.
